With olive trees, a relationship of reciprocity is key.

In the delicate dance between noninterference and cultivation, one learns that olive trees only offer their best fruits if carefully, intelligently pruned by humans. Leave an olive tree in solitude and it will grow very few fruit. Each well timed and well executed pruning leads to plentiful harvests for years. Each harvest makes way for another.

What is the philosophy of sensitive olive pruning?

Never forget that energy and nutrients moves through branches in the shape of streams. Follow each unique branch to from the trunk to the leaves to observe which smaller branches and vertical shoots are working with or against the flow. Make choices about which branches align with the space given in its surrounding.
